Pokemon BREAKpoint Set
A 123-card expansion continuing the BREAK Evolution mechanic with Mega Gyarados EX and the fan-favorite Greninja BREAK.
Overview
BREAKpoint is the second BREAK-focused set, released in February 2016 with 123 cards. The set is best remembered for Greninja BREAK, which became one of the most successful non-EX competitive decks in XY-era history. Mega Gyarados EX headlines the collector side, while Team Flare-themed cards add story flavor.
Most Valuable Cards
Mega Gyarados EX Full Art (#114) leads at $20-40 near-mint. Greninja BREAK (#41) is the competitive chase card at $10-20 despite being a non-EX. Darkrai EX Full Art and Espeon EX Full Art command $15-25 each. The secret rare Ho-Oh EX (#121) adds a legendary collector piece.
Completion Tips
BREAKpoint is mid-sized at 123 cards and reasonably affordable. Greninja BREAK was printed in multiple products, so finding one is easier than typical chase cards. Focus on the Full Art EX cards for the biggest value, and look for the Team Flare Trainer cards as fun thematic inclusions.
Scan with Pokex
Greninja BREAK was reprinted in several collection boxes, making print identification important. The scanner detects the exact BREAKpoint version versus promo reprints. It also handles the gold BREAK card texture that can confuse other identification tools.
