Platinum は2009年2月11日に発売され、133枚で DP内の新たなサブ時代を切り開きました。特定のトレーナーが所有するポケモン SP を導入し、G（ギンガ団）や GL（ジムリーダー）といった文字で表されます。このセットは、ディストーションワールドのストーリーに連なる Dialga と Palkia の別フォルムをフィーチャーしました。
