2000年12月16日に発売されたNeo Genesisは、GoldとSilverの第二世代ポケモンを収録した初の拡張パックです。111枚のカードで、ジョウトの御三家、ベイビィポケモン、そして伝説のLugiaを導入しました。MetalタイプとDarknessタイプのエネルギーもここでデビューしました。
