2004年8月30日に発売されたEX FireRed & LeafGreenは、GBAのリメイク版と連動し、Kantoのポケモンを祝う116枚のカードを収録しています。Kantoのオリジナル御三家がPokemon-exとして復活し、多くの第1世代の人気ポケモンがEX時代の新しいアートワークで登場します。
