Illustration Rare (IR) è un livello di rarità introdotto nell'era Scarlatto & Violetto (2023-presente). Queste carte presentano un'illustrazione estesa e immersiva che copre l'intera faccia della carta — spesso raffigurando il Pokémon in una scena naturale o narrativa, anziché nella posa da battaglia standard. How to Identify
Le Illustration Rare hanno un'illustrazione che si estende fino ai bordi della carta, senza la cornice standard. L'illustrazione mostra tipicamente il Pokémon in una scena ambientale, anziché in una posa isolata. Presentano un simbolo di rarità a stella e sono numerate nella sezione delle secret rare del set (oltre il conteggio principale del set). La texture della carta presenta un pattern in rilievo sottile, percepibile passando il dito sulla superficie. Cerca la dicitura "IR" negli elenchi dei set.
